The Rogues Rock the Renaissance
Scarborough Faire that is…..
I am going to keep this short and sweet. Well, the weekends kinda all blur together. First of all the weather could not have been better. No rain and mid to upper 70’s most of the time. The crowds were good and all of the regulars were there, of course! I think the band hooked lots of new Rogueys and Rougettes, lots of new faces at the beginning of faire, become regulars by the end.
EJ and Jeremy are two pipers that were meant to play together. The energy, the magic, the charisma, I would say more but you get the picture. The Rogues have turned a corner and are better than ever, and for you folks that have not seen EJ and Jeremy play together. Then, you should be on the edge of your seat with anticipation!
The missing presence of our friend, Jeff “Mayhem” Thompson lingered in the air. The Rogues had a picture, poem and a remembrance book on stage so that fans could write their favorite memory of Mayhem or condolences. The book will be given to Mayhem’s family.
Nelvis was on vacation for most of the faire, but he did make one guest appearance on the last (Rogues) day of the faire. Huh Hah! Nelvis brought the house down. The girls were screaming, the guys were cheering and we all had a great time. Most every day at the 12:30 show we could look forward to the beautiful ladies of QAL (Queen Anne’s lace) getting on stage to dance the lilt.
The band worked very hard on the new CD, during the run of Scarborough. They spent a lot of their down time at the faire polishing out the details and would go into the studio during the week to record.
It was a great season at Scarborough and already looking forward to next year.
